A used Tapco Pro II can make sense when the model is positively identified, it bends consistently, the stand is complete, critical parts are sound, and documentation and replacement parts are obtainable. Compare the total cost—including stand, transport, repairs, cutoff accessory, and downtime—with a supported current model.
Choose a current PRO 14 when 14-inch throat depth and its published material capacities cover the work. Compare a PRO 19 when deeper profiles justify the extra size, weight, and cost. For heavier material, use a brake specifically rated for it rather than forcing a portable siding brake beyond its design.
